About Deb Aoki

Deb Aoki is a 3rd generation Japanese/Okinawan-American gal who was born, raised, went to school, and eventually escaped Honolulu, Hawaii. 

She now lives in Emeryville/Oakland, California (a.k.a. "the mainland"), where she continues to submit her weekly comic strip to The Honolulu Advertiser.

Besides her comics and occasional fine art works, Deb is currently working as a Content Strategist for eBay in San Jose, and is probably buying way too much used manga on eBay as we speak.

Deb has also lived in Seattle, Los Angeles, New York City and San Francisco and can probably tell you where the plate lunch places are in every one of those cities. Her favorites are the chicken katsu plate with extra chow fun from Grace's Inn and the Zippy's ZipPac.
